<h1><span style="color: #000000; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS',cursive; font-size: 110%;"> Introduction to Computers</span></h1> <br /> <br /> <img src="/file/view/computers.jpg/161962963/400x299/computers.jpg" alt="" title="" style="height: 299px; width: 400px;" /><br /> <span style="font-size: 80%;">geishaboy500</span><br /> <br /> This series of workshops is designed to teach the operation of computers, basic word processing and basic PowerPoint.<br /> <br /> <br /> <strong>Session I Computer Operation</strong><br /> Participants will learn: using proper computer start up and shut down procedures, using the mouse right and left click; examining the Windows operating system; identifying and using icons, menus and windows; starting an application and creating a file; naming and saving a file; creating folders and saving to them; open work in more than one application at a time and using a web browser. <br /> <br /> <strong>Session II Word Processing</strong><br /> This workshop is an introduction to Word using a hands on approach to learning. Participants will learn how to identify menu options in the Word window, learn the basics of entering text, open and edit a document, use copy and paste commands, format text, create tables, and templates. <br /> <br /> <br /> <strong>Session III PowerPoint</strong><br /> This workshop is designed to show participants how to use the basics of PowerPoint that include creating a simple presentation, formatting text, and inserting clip art and tables.
